Re: how much time are you going to have in between church and cocktail hour?

If we go with just a ceremony - 3.5 hours; if we go with a full mass - 3 hours. The hall is about an hour away from the church so I think we're going with just a ceremony.

Re: how much time are you going to have in between church and cocktail hour?

We will have 3 hours in between, which is a lot of time, but I want to take our time to take pics at OWG and hopefully not feel rushed to get to the cocktail hour.

I have the same thing. At first I was stressed and worried that it was too much time, but now I'm just happy I'll get my pictures done and be able to enjoy the cocktail hour

Plus, most guests are OOT and will need to check in to the hotel. For the guests that aren't my parents are offering up their house for a party. We'll have an uncle or neighbor run the whole thing.

I am the same but we are fortunate to have a go to place btw the ceremony and reception. We will probably just have wine and cheese, while we take pics. Hopefully our guest wont be too bored.

My sister had done something similar and it was great. after the church they went back to my house and we took some family pics there and then went someplace else with just the wedding party. And for our wedding, we are getting married in Hauppauge but the reception is in Wading River- this will give our guests ample time to get out there, check in, and relax a bit before the cocktail hour.

Re: how much time are you going to have in between church and cocktail hour?

We'll have about 2 1/2 hours. We didn't really want there to be more time than that. I felt bad as to what people would have done to kill time and the less i need to think about and plan the better.

Re: how much time are you going to have in between church and cocktail hour?

well now i just feel silly

the latest we could do the mass at Our Lady of Grace in Queens is 2:30

and the cocktail hour at Jericho Terrace starts at 7:30 so that is like 4.5 or 5 hours

but i have a major fear of snow on my wedding day (01/12/08) so I wanted to make sure there was PLENTY of time! PLUS I want to take all of my pictures before the cocktail hour!

Re: how much time are you going to have in between church and cocktail hour?

Our Church is at 2:00 and we are planning on having a full nuptual mass. It should end by 3:15 ish. Our Cocktail Hour begins at 6:30. We are allowed at the RH an hour to an hour and one half prior. So give or take 2 and 1/2 hours.
