I think I had my first Bridezilla moment this week.....

So I was in PA with my family and FH this week. We decided to go to one of the malls for the day. So my mom wanted to go dress shopping for herself. The only problem is my mother has NO TASTE for colors/dresses/etc. She told me she wanted to me to help her. Fine. So FH and I go shopping and then we come back at our 'specified time' to my mom still shopping. So she said she found this really nice dress that she really likes and fits her well. So I'm thinking 'ok great'. So she tries it on and comes out. Now the dress is fine it actually did look very nice on her. However it was NAVY BLUE!!! Totally not her color and totally did not look good at all. So of course she asks me what I think and I told her I don't like the color, but I think the dress looks beautiful on her. So my dad all of a sudden chimes in and really nastily says 'Well it's NOT your choice!!!' So I said 'REALLY??? It is only MY wedding!!!!!' geez!! So of course my parents got mad. First of all, it would TOTALLY clash with my dresses and with her!! Ugh!! I guess it's not that big of a deal really. She wound up not buying the dress. But I was still pretty upset at my dad's comment. Sorry ladies!! I just had to vent!!!

Nothing wrong with venting! Its good for the soul and is cheaper than paying a pshychiatrist (no offense to any on the site)

I think if she asked about the color, and you didn't like it, and you gave ur opinion...if she still wants to wear navy blue, then let her. They asked your advice, and still were going to hate what you said, then I would have agreed in basically wondering, then why did you ask me?

No - my mom only saw it in navy blue unfortunately. I asked her that too.

I don't think its crazy to vent. I was just lookin at your pictures for the bridesmaids. While Navy Blue might not look too bad with their dresses. If it doesn't look good on her then thats another story.
I do have to ask myself though why did she ask your opinion if she wasn't going to take it into affect?
I probably would have had the same reaction, if that makes you a bridzilla then so am I.
