Im kinda bummed!

SO yesterday we spoke to our lawyer about setting oru closing date.. he was trying to get us in for this monday.

Well, apparently the sellers 'might not be ready to move yet' which means they could legally post pone the closing for 30 frekkin days.

I know it isnt the end of the world but being MARRIED and living between two houses (we both still lived with our parents before) is absolutely draining and horrible.

Also.. 30 days will be right before school starts again.. and I am going to be in my 4th new school in 4 years (although I m not switching districts at least). So I feel like Im wasting this entire month of working on the house and all that change for me at once is not going to sit well.

Anyway I will keep you updated but I am just bummed!

i signed contracts on my place in january and didnt close until may.....

so much stuff can go wrong and people drag their feet w/ the process.

hopefully you will not wait 5 months like i did - just keep on top of everyone. make it part of your daily routine to call every number you have and ask what is going on. i was very laxed in the beginning - but in the end i was in everyones face - i even tried to contact the CEO if greenpoint...

i was a total nutcase in need of a closing!!

good luck! this was more stressful than anything to do w/ my wedding.

OH that totally stinks....I'm sorry you have to deal with extra crap while trying to enjoy being a newlywed. Remember....'this too shall pass' and then you will worrying about something else. LOL...the roller coaster of life...just hold on and remember to have fun!

That STINKS! But don't worry, they may not need to take their full 30 days. Definately contact your bank to make sure you lock-in doesn't expire. I work for a real estate attorney and the expiration of a lock-in always causes problems. If you have any questions feel free to FM me.
