Grooms Tux's

Ok, when are THEY supposed to go for their tux's?

I was reading somewhere , that its supp be like 9 months b4 , which I found to be odd. I mean they aint buying em, just renting ya know ..

My FH & I are still tossing around colors & styles , so I mentioned he start lookin , so he knows what he likes. but when is it that they should all gtg & go ??

I think the standard for ordering the tuxes is about 3-4 months before the big day. Nine months seems a lil too far in advance.

mine isn't doing this until around march.

FH is a Gm in his friend's wedding next month and they still haven't picked out tuxes

Yep. see thats what I thought too,, I told him to just go & look, ya know on styles & colors he may want , but i thought 9 months in advance was a lil junpin the gun too,

We're going about 3 months before.

FI and I went looking a few weeks ago. They told us to order them by March/April for a July wedding.

FH is in a wedding on 8/26 and he just went to get fitted for the tux. I believe the groom picked out what he wanted like 2 months before the wedding.

uuuuuuuum... my bro got married last Nov. and they went and they went at the end of Sept.
and thatw as more than enough time... usually thy recommend an extra month if ur wedding is aournd the same time as prom season

Thanks for posting this.... I was thinking this the other day ~ I want to go look with FH before hand and pick a place to go...but I was unsure when they actually had to order them!

According to timelines as far as months go, they say 9 months, but I also think thats too far in advance, Same goes for BM's dresses too! I think Darren is just looking now, as far as styles, because we have the colors pegged already. Although it wouldn't be a bad idea for the guys to try on different styles now. This way the groom can have an idea of what looks right on everyone. Thats JMO though.

FH and crew are going next Saturday, only b/c then they can all have them done and chosen. There was also a price grouping, so it helped. The man who helped us said that he's only going to take names, sizes, and a deposit and the guys should come back in about 2 weeks for a fitting, just to make sure there aren't any major changes needed.
Mot of the guys including FH are big guys. FH is 6'7' and 340lbs. and there are 4 more that are the same build just a little shorter, so I thought it would easier incase there was any special ordering needed.
