Re: PAST BRIDES WHO WENT TO SANDALS ST. LUCIA....
You can do everything on-site. Sandals doesn't really recommend you rent a car unless it is through them. They have an activitiSome of the exerscions sounded amazing, but we really wanted to be lazy after the wedding, so only the only thing that we did was go shopping in town with the tour.
We liked the restaurants at the Regency, the only one that we didn't love was LaToc. It was ok, but not all it was cracked up to be. Kiminos was way, way better, as was The Pitons. Any other questions, just FM me.

Re: PAST BRIDES WHO WENT TO SANDALS ST. LUCIA....
We stayed at the Regency - I would hightly recommend Kimono's and La Toc (you need reservations for both). we also liked the Pitons which was more Caribbean cuisine. These restaurants were great - with our fave being Kimono's - the atmosphere was very fun and the food was amazing. We also did the candlelight dinner on the beach - the food was OUTSTANDING. I believe they have this at all the resorts. You need to make reservations for this as well - pricey but worth it. We didn't eat at any other resorts, so I am not sure about the food there. As far as the tours go, we did a catamaran ride to the Volcano and botanical garden - it was nice but very hot. However, I am glad that we did it. We also did the shopping tour which was cool, and great for souveneirs. I also heard that horseback riding by the beach was very nice.
You definitly don't need to rent a car - the tours provide transportation, and the resorts provide transportation from one resort to another.
If you have any questions, please FM me. It's such a great place - we had a wonderful time!

I do not believe that they have jet ski rentals in the resort areas.

Re: PAST BRIDES WHO WENT TO SANDALS ST. LUCIA....
At the Grande there are people who are not affiliated w/ the resort walking up and down the beach and you can rent Jet Ski's from them...Sandals has it on their list of things they don't reccomend you do (along w/ parasailing and something else I can't remember) but you can do it if you want....HTH!!!

Do you have any suggestions on which are the best restaurants to dine in... in any of the 3?We stayed at the Grande for 10 days, most nights we ate at the Italian restaurant. We ate dinner once at the buffet place - we usually went there for breakfast only, but for dinner they have an awesome stir fry station that was great! For lunch we ate at Barefoot, we also went there once for dinner. We visited the Regency and went to the French place which we thought was great. Also, visited the Halcyon to eat at the Pier which we also thought was great. Also, check out the crepes place, Josephines, they have an awesome banana rum crepe-I was addicted!
Did you do any off resort excursions that you could recommend?
We did the shopping excursion. This was good, you got to visit downtown Castries and then go to the duty free mall. Great deals on jewelry and alcohol, cigars, clothes.
Tours? We did a tour of the Island and then sailed back on a catamaran. I would def. rec. this because you get to see the Island and all it's little towns and visit the volcano, botanical gardens, etc. The catamaran was fun, but a little crowded. We snorkeled, but it wasn't to good because there were too many people. But the rum punch was GOOD. This was the only day I really had too much to drink-so be careful!
Car rentals? No, not necessary IMO
Moped rentals? No, I'm too chicken and they drive Crazy over there!
Any advice on 'what to do?', other than the obvious
RELAX!!! It is a beautiful place and Sandals will take good care of you! Enjoy!

Re: PAST BRIDES WHO WENT TO SANDALS ST. LUCIA....
THEY WERE ALL AMAZINNGGGG!we stayed at the regency and went to all 3 italian restaurants..they were all delicious! i personally liked the one at the regency the best [ARMANDO'S] and we like the breakfast & lunch & dinner the best at: the pavilion [the regency] armandos [regency], arizona's [regency] and my dh loveeeddddd La toc [regency] and Kimonos [regency] we NEVER ate at the pitons tho, cause we both don't like that food!
and actually, if memeory serves me correctly: for the grande, we ate at TUSCANI'S (italian) and BAYSIDE = both very delicious!
and at Halycon, we ate at THE PIER, & MARIO'S! both very delicious too!
so personally, i guess ALL my favorites were at the regency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
