ques. for ladies with permanent french acrylic nails
My nails are pink and white acrylic, not gel. The white turned very yellow in the sun this past week, during my vacation. I even used a special topcoat that says 'suncreen for nails' on the bottle. I thought maybe the topcoat itself had turned yellow, but I think that the white acrylic itself has turned. I am wondering if I now have to polish my nails a color so that this does not show. I only like acrylic nails, not silk or any of the others. What should I do? Has this happened to you?

Yea Kerie, I'd call the salon. I use that special stuff from mine & it was fine throughout my honeymoon & even still now...I'd give them a call or stop in.

Re: ques. for ladies with permanent french acrylic nails
It more than likely it is bc of the topcoat you used - acryllic dos not just turn colors. Most of the time the top coats that claim to be non yellowing - turn the brightest shade of yellow in the sun! - im a manicurist so Ive seen this happen too many times

Re: ques. for ladies with permanent french acrylic nails
Thanks ladies. I'm actually quite annoyed at my salon b/c of this. In the past, they used a buffing creme to give my nails a high shine. I didn't even need a topcoat. On my most recent fill in, I was suddenly told not to get the buffing creme, but to use their topcoat, because my nails would turn yellow with the buffing creme. So I listened, then got yellow nails for the first time ever!I already tried removiing the top coat and I still have yellow on the white part of the french but not on the pink. Do you think maybe the top coat left a stain?
My nail salon is near work and I go back tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll stop in or just show them on my next fill-in. I know I should stop in.
