Does anyone know of any teaching positions?

I feel like throwing up- there is like NOTHINNGGGG out there. I was going to take the position as a pre school teacher (at a day care) but now im thinking I should sub bc then I get myself 'in the system' and hopefully one step closer to a 'real' teaching job- and now i feel its too late for ANY principals to hire.....

Im so bummed- I really dont know how FH and I will pull this wedding off- we are BOTH jobless!

Im sorry ladies for the vent I dont mean to sound annoying!!!

Re: Does anyone know of any teaching positions?

I don't know of any but I understand how you feel. I'm still looking for a job myself. However I don't think it's too late since many people don't retire or quit for a new job until right before school starts since they want to get all their summer pay. Don't give up hope.

Sub all over district 25 and 26 and you will find something! the money your gonna make in a daycare wont be worth it! i was in your position in January and i know its so confusing!!!!! ( i have a spec ed license so thats how i got lucky ) hang in there! does your insurance plan have a cobra you can pay? itll be worth it in the long run

Re: Does anyone know of any teaching positions?

Can i just make a suggestion. In my experience, and I have a friend who has gone through this, if you sub the district likes to keep you as a sub because they are hard to find. I know you think that it will get your foot in the door but it really doesn't. I would take the job as a pre school teacher and keep applying for jobs. My friend spent 2 years subbing in the same district and they did not give her a job when there were openings. She finally left, worked somewhere else and found a teaching job. So if you are going to sub do not stay for more than a year.

I know it's hard, I feel your pain I've gone through this myself. Good Luck!
