NWR-Size 0 or petite girls please help! (repost from '06)

I need a new pant suit. I remember I posted a while ago and there were quite a few of you that wear a size 0. My problem is a lot of the stores I like for work tops have pants that don't fit me on the bottom...stores like Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, etc. And my legs are long so petite is no good! Can anyone recommend some stores or brands to try? I feel like whenever I need a suit I spend HOURS trying stuff on and always end up with something that doesn't fit well

Well, I am certainly not a size 0, but are you saying that pants are usually too long on you? If this is the case, I would find a suit that you love and then get alterations done so that it fits you perfectly.

noo..the length is good but the waist is usually waaay to small. I think petite would fit me better in the waist but they would be to short then

Find pants that fit your waist - even if they are a little big and/ or too long. Then take them to a tailor. Unfortunately, some people have body types that are hard to find clothes for. I think I have the same situation as you (although I am bigger) where the waist will fit but the pants are too long. I should get more pants altered to the correct length, but I am too lazy.
Bottom line is, anything can be tailored to fit YOU!

shooot. I just realized I wrote that wrong. The pants are too BIG in the waist..and everywhere else..I do get a lot of pants taken in at the waist but they fit everywhere else (like in the butt, for example)

Express and the Limited have always been my staples for work pants and suits. I can actually get away with heels with their 'short' style pants without having to hem them!

Try Zara. They make super long pants in size zero.

i have the same problem... I usually go the same places you listed.. I'm 103lbs and 5'0' to be exact what usually works for me is Size 0P for petite... and sometimes even that doesnt work... maybe we should our own personal tailor/seamstress to custom make our clothes? that would definitely solve the problem!

Re: NWR-Size 0 or petite girls please help! (repost from '06)

a lot of my pants i got at macy's, express, or jc penny (who usually have REALLY good sales). i'm not a size 0 though, but all of my pants are usually too long. i just hem them up when i get them home. but yeah, my top choice would be express's editor pants - and they come in a good range of sizes and even short, normal, and long. i LOVE them.
