Anyone do a bottle of wine favor?

Anyone do a bottle of wine favor?
Just wondering if anyone here has done a bottle of wine as a favor. I just stopped into the Pindar store in Port Jeff & they do them there. The least expensive deal was $8.99/bottle +tax- which came wrapped in cellophane with a little bow & a little personalized label. It was an additional $2/ per bottle to have them put into organza wine bags- which was prettier. I'm just not sure if this is reasonable for the product. I knew it would be pricey, but do you think I could find a better deal out there & if so where?

I just posted something like this and got an FM of a company in Florida. I called them and they are about 3.50 a bottle and they are sending me samples of 6 flavors for $30. They should be in by Friday. I will try them and let you know. I will get the name for you, Fm me if you have any questions.

I purchased Chillean wine (Avia) from a local liqour store, and it cost about $3-$4 each. I then made my own labels, and put them in organza bags and attached a favor tag!

Your favors were beautiful- just the thing I'm trying to do! Can I ask where you purchased the bags & tags? I'm also wondering about how much they cost- if you don't mind sharing.

Try Lost Vineyards. The web site says that they don't ship to NY, but they do.Lost Vineyards

We are getting Pindar wine from Stew Leaonards in Farmingdale....It's $6.99 a bottle but since we need 100 bottles, they are giving us 10% off...

www.weddingwinefavors.com has bottles that are cheap and you can create your own labels to put on them.

My friend did this and went to a winery out east and got them alot cheaper. im not sure exactly how much but she also looked at the Pindor store in Pt jeff and got the same thing cheaper at wineries

We purchased the wine from a local liquor store here in Brooklyn (Kingsway Liquors) - the name of the wine company is 'Avia'
The organza bags were purchased from ebay, and the favor tags I made myself.

Wow! I checked out the website & the prices are amazing! Have you tasted any of these wines?
I'm thinking of getting the Italian Sampler to try. My fi is a huge Billy Joel fan & I think it might be cute to do a mix of favors as a little nod to 'a bottle of red, a bottle of white... all depends upon your appetite..'

yeah- sounds like the port jeff branch was really on the expensive side!
