Real Estate in Florida

We will be looking at homes in florida after we get married. I wanted to start researching areas though. Can anyone recommend any developing areas in Florida?
We have been researching the Clermont/Minneola area and love it because it is centerally located.
Also can anyone tell me how the market is looking down there? It seems like prices are going down, but I am hoping they really are and it is not just a fluke.

Re: Real Estate in Florida

I live in Florida and I love it - finding a job is not ott easy.

We live in Port St. Lucie on the east coast - about an hour north of West Palm Beach - the housing market is quiet now. we found PSl to be asffordable - we built a brand new 4 bedroom three bathroom house with a pool last year for under $300,000 definately cannot find that in NY

I love the Ft. Meyer's area, southwest it's developing more but not to crowded. I go threre for vacation since my sister bought a vacation house there and it's always nice.

Yes, it looks like the market is starting to slow down. We were looking in Naples/Ft. Meyers area. Check out Lehigh Acres.

Re: Real Estate in Florida

The sarasota area near Tampa bay is expanding quickly according to my mother. Every time she goes back, it has expanded again.
