Just found out my FSIL asked my FH to babysit for her kids FOUR DAYS before our wedding...

and HE said yes!

His answer... 'What am I gonna have to do?'.

Yeah, I guess he's right because I'm still the only one that's been doing everything (except for him attending appointments with me every now and then), but I just think it's so nervy to even ASK a groom-to-be to babysit for you FOUR days before OUR wedding!

I just hung up, not mad, but obviously upset. I really feel like crying. What if we have to bring stuff over to The Crescent that night? Or something comes up that I need him for? I've never been married before... I don't know what MIGHT happen four day before, but I'd like to know my FH will be there... not BABYSITTING for his sister. Can't SOMEONE else do it... like her OTHER sister who's 25 years old?!!?!?!? I just don't get it... As it is, we have to go over there the FRIDAY before the wedding to celebrate two birthdays. My FH babysits for them ALL THE TIME... does it have to be THAT week? And it's at night when it would be the time to DO stuff we would have to get done. Shouldn't she have said, 'hey... they're getting married that week... I'm not even gonna ask.'. My BROTHER and his wife needed a babysitter this Saturday, TWO WEEKS before the wedding, but didn't ask me because they know we have a lot to do.

okay... so UPDATE... maybe some GOOD came out of this because my FH just called me obviously hearing in my voice that I was sad about something he said...

he said that one night of him not being there wasn't going to make a difference and that if there was anything to be done, he could do it for me during the day....

and, get this...

STOP THE PRESSES... I THINK I JUST SAW PIGS FLYING and they just made SNOWBALLS IN HELL:

he said he would help me put gift boxes and stuff together this weekend!!!! AND he said he sees how much I'm doing and he appreciates it and he said that our wedding is going to be beautiful, but don't stress about things not getting done because it's not worth it... no one's gonna scrutinize everything, they're just gonna have fun at our wedding. And then we're gonna go away together (and he added he's gonna 'bang Minnie Mouse. ).



So, I got a promise of help out of it!!!

thanks, ladies! You're right... they are clueless, but my guy has a good hear, and I know he's just trying to help his sister... I just wish she wouldn't have asked because he never says no.

guys are clueless about this stuff... honestly though, there really isn't much for him to do that week... my DH didn't come with me to drop the stuff off at the hall, it was no big deal. Anyway, guys just don't view the wedding (or really anything for that matter) the same way we do. Think of it this way, it will give you some time to yourself - go get pampered, or just relax with some friends.

hmm, yeah she probably didn't even think...

hopefully it won't be too long and you won't need FH for anything

just try to think positive... i know the stress must be overwhelming at this point esp b/c you are taking on a lot by yourself...

i have this sinking feeling that i'm going to be in your position next year

wow, hell froze over and i just caught a glimpse of the pope walking in the parking lot outside my office!! lol So glad it worked out-- that was very nice of him
