Holiday question...
My DH and I now have a house that we rent but its huge and beautiful. This yr we want to have a tree. I want to decorate it with cookie ordements. Do you think if I cover the cookies in little bagies they'll last until the holidays are over??? Or am I being silly in thinking that?

Re: Holiday question...
I think it depends on the cookie. Sugar cookies would last if packaged in plastic wrap or plastic bag......any creamy cookies prob not.

Re: Holiday question...
try it out, what do you have to lose. I would use saran wrap instead of baggies for a nicer look.

Re: Holiday question...
Do you want to be able to eat them afterwards? If not, do a google search for cookie ornaments. I made them years ago - just change the quantities in some of the ingredients and they are hard enough to be hung on the tree and last until Christmas - but you can't eat them.

I'm not one for cooking from scratch. I'm getting Phillsbury! And if the cookies can't be eaten I'll put the treat out after holidays and let the birds have a feast.

Then don't get the ones that you just unroll and cook. Get the package mix (like cake mix). I'm almost positive you can alter the ingredients on those mixes to hang them on the x-mas tree.
