Catholic ladies - quick question

My FH is doing his confirmation tomorrow. I bought him a card and we're throwing him a dinner at my house and inviting his parents and brother (me & my mom).

But I just thought about something - should I get him a gift??? I did my confirmation about 5 years ago and no one got me anything except my sponsor/godmother

Re: Catholic ladies - quick question

I think it is really up to you. I received gifts at my confirmation but we had a party for it, so people brought some gifts.

The dinner idea sounds really nice, so that is probably enough, but I think it is your call!

Re: Catholic ladies - quick question

I think it would be nice to get him a little something as a gesture. But I don't think you have too.

Re: Catholic ladies - quick question

Thanks ladies. I don't want to give him $ so I thought something religious would be nice???

Maybe a nice bible (although he just got a simple one when he started his classes in November).

Maybe I can go to St. Patrick's Cathedral (near my job) and buy him a nice rosary or something similar??
