Job change ... need some advice and help!

Okay girls, I have a Masters in Health Administration and a certification in Gerontology and Health care Fianace. The job market stinks so I am managing a doctors office. I am thinking of going back to school to be a ultrasound technician. At least I hope there are jobs out there for that. Does anyone do this for a living? What kind of salary do you start at? Where would I look for a school to teach me this and how long does it take to 'graduate'? Thanks.. sorry for all the questions.

I would suggest you call a place that does ultrasounds and get the info right from the source! the technician himself !

Re: Job change ... need some advice and help!

Hi, I am waiting to complet my bachelors this year. And then I will be also enrolling int he Ultasound Diagnostic Program. fromthe wht the professors have told me. Salary range from about 38k part time to about 80k fulltime. The position offers alot of flexibility and from what I hear, techinicians are now purhcasing their own machines for free lance purposes. I was advised that A techiniciand can charge up to about 100 and unltrsouund. Cardiovascular is the was to go. thats about all I have knowledge of. the school is a bout 16 months full time. There is a school in lOng Island on Old Country Road in GardenCity

Good LUck
