Did this the other day! I do not have a videographer yet, I may hire one ... I guess I can always provide a new one if I decide after my meeting, right?
Which, by the way, is August 11.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I have a question, and I just might end up calling my BM on this one...
Q: Would it be possible to start my cocktail hour early? I'm thinking that 8:30 is just too late... or is it set that way so I don't run into another bride? Are the times set in stone?

From what I was told, yes, they have set times and the can't change them because of other functions going on - and when you're room can be available.
Can't hurt to call and ask though - ya never know.
ETA: I just saw that your wedding is almost 2 years away = most likely they aren't totally booked for your day right now, so you may be able to get an earlier time, I would definitly call and ask them.

Who's Jenn? Is that your Banquet Manager or someone else I need to know
Jenn is the woman you will go over your stuff with - your menu, your final prep stuff.....your cake...she's a GEM!!!!!!!!
I didn't have a Jenn I went and saw Annemaire for my menu and linens, she was ok. I asked for a small sugar free cake and she looked at me like i had 10 heads, i've been diabetic for 25 years i just wanted a piece of my wedding cake

Wow, I can't believe that someone would do that to you! I'm so sorry! Are they going to make the sugar free cake for you? I hope so! My bridesmaid did the same thing for her wedding... asked for small gluten free cake so she could actually eat a piece of her own wedding cake. She was ecstatic that they did it!
I'm actually glad for your candor, as now I know I MUST make an appointment with Jenn instead. My FMIL is diabetic, my bridesmaid has celiac, FH is allergic to citrus, and if any shellfish gets near me, I go into anaphyllaxis!! I also have a bunch of food issues (similar to IBS) related to late effects of chemo/radiation, so I'm terrified to eat at my own wedding!! I was assured that they'd pack up some CH food & dinner for me to eat AFTER the wedding is over, so I don't get sick DURING the wedding. I want to make sure this menu meeting goes smoothly, since some promises from before won't be honored.
I updated my new address with Fox Hollow, but I don't know when they're sending out the letter to me, so I may just call Jenn on Monday to schedule the meeting. Does anyone know what time she's available? I was told they only do menu meetings Mon-Fri, and I need to coordinate FH's & my schedules.
Oh, and I'm getting EVERYTHING in writing this time!!!
Thanks!

My wedding is 2 yrs away as well.. I had mentioned it when I met with Dave and we were told the same thing. They have set schedules. I would assume, however, if it becomes closer and no one booked for the other room then they can work something out because the two weddings would not cross and there is no issue in coordinating food and stuff between two rooms.
Good luck :)

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Early on, did any of you got to the "Tea Party" or did you just meet with Jenn one on one? I had recieved an invitation to one but currently do not live in NY (moving back soon ) and was told by Jenn that I can wait for another Tea party or just make an appointment to meet with her (And I think there is more than one Jen). Any suggestions on which is better to do?
Thanks :)

Amen! I also met with Annemarie and was really not impressed at all. Very nice but didn't seem like she knew what was up. It also took forever for her to call me back!

I went to the PWP tea party... it was informative gave a lot of info about vendors and some raffles, but I only took one or two things away from it.
1. A DOC is a good thing to have if I can afford it. 2. A lot of the PWP vendors are $$$$
They offered some insight, but if you don't go right away or just meet with a PWP rep one on one it'll be fine.

We used the Fox Hollow's toasting flutes and cake cutter., so there is no reason to purchase a special one if you don't want to.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
my cousin had her reception in there a few years back and it was gorgeous. I liked the whole place then and now. I didn't get to see the other rooms today b/c of my # of people though. I'm only at 125.
i forgot to ask, but i'm going back again with FH, but am I to assume they DON'T have a tasting b/c the restaurant is there?
