We got our proofs today and all I can say is.....I am very overwhelmed! How do I even begin to narrow them down?

Re: Picking Album Pics
It is very hard. Mine came in a photo album. I took out all the ones I liked, and arranged them in order of events. I left the ones I didnt like in th ebook, and then narrowed it down from there.Just take your time.

Re: Picking Album Pics
I sorted into categories and then subcategories such as:Me and mom.
Me and dad.
Me and brother.
Me and whole family.
Groom with my family.
Groom and mom.
Groom and dad.
Groom and sisters.
Groom and whole family.
Bride with grooms family.
Me with the bridesmaids.
Groom with groomsmen.
Entire bridal party.
Me and him formal.
Me and him candids.
Walking in to ceremony.
Room shots of ceremony.
Ring exchange.
The Kiss.
Walking Out of ceremony.
Cake Cutting.
etc...
Then I chose the best picture for every category I wanted in the album... Its much less overwhelming then looking at the whole pile!!

Re: Picking Album Pics
Jen, what Lia our photographer said was do them in sections then eliminate them, like the list above. I sectioned them off then I chose the best one or 2 from each section. You want your album to tell a story, you want a lot of you a few of Matt, j/k LOL a couple of the BP and you want formals of parents/family etc. Then you want the cake cutting, the MOH/BM speech a little from the partying and then more of you and Matt, that is how we broke it down, it made it so much easier.

Re: Picking Album Pics
I took all of the photos and put them into categories. My categories are:
getting ready
bride alone
groom alone
bride/groom formals/candids
bride/groom with family formals
family/friend formals without bride/groom
ceremony (I put these photos in the order that they happened)
misc photos (such as gown detail, flower details, wishbowl etc..)
reception is broken up into:
father daughter dance
mother son dance
brother sister dance
parents dance
first dance
friends/family candids (my family, then his family)
cake cutting
I was able to elimate some photos based on someone's eyes are closed or looking the wrong way. I also removed the photos that I hated myself in
to prevent parents from picking it for their album. As you start to really look at the photos again and again you know which ones you love and hate.Hint: I got the mini-sticking notepads in mult-colors. I assigned a color to each person (blue=groom/bride, pink=my mom, purple=my stepmom, yellow=groom's mom) then I put the colored sticking on the back of the photos that they like/choice. It helps them go back the photos they like the best without removing them from my piles thus keeping them organized.
