Attn: Wild Rose Brides - or any other good videographer suggestions?

I am a victim of videomaker/ jerk and would like some suggestions for a good honest videographer, please advice.

Also I've heard good things about wild rose...could some of the wild rose brides answer some questions? I live very far from them and would like to save myself the trip if they are not what I am looking for.
Are they crazy expensive?
Is the raw footage expensive?
Will they allow the couple to have a lot of creative control...sitting in while editing and stuff like that?
Do you think they will let me add my own footage?

HI! I am not a Wild Rose Bride. I am using Bellarino Productions. Where are you located? They are in Bellmore. It is a husband and wife team (I think Wild Rose is as well). Phil is fantastic to work with! A lot of brides on this site use them too! He has 4 different packages, BUT doesn't just limit you to that. His prices vary. And I believe the raw footage is included in all packages. The first package is JUST the raw footage. Checkout their website. All the packages are listed there.

I live in Brooklyn so Wild Rose is close to a 2 hr drive for me and they are still WORTH it!

a) They have very reasonable pricing. I think its right on their website...if not, just email Marie and she will tell you exactly how much everything costs.

b) Raw Footage is $100 I think.

c) You dont have creative control. You have creative input and they will use your suggestions but to have you sit in on the editing would take a considerable amount of time (much more than normal) so it would probably have to cost a lot more. Pretty suer 99% of videographers operate this way.

d) Just ask Marie if they will let you. I dont see why not.

I live in the city and therefore, Wild Rose is a far drive for us too but we are meeting with them b/c of all the wonderful things brides on this board have said about them. Another vendor we are meeting with is Magic Flute Videos http://www.magicflutevideos.com. They have an office here in the city and we have heard wonderful things about them as well. They seem to be on the expensive side but we thought we would meet with them anyway.

I am a Wild Rose bride. They are not cheap, but I dont know if I would classify them as crazy expensive. I emailed Marie constanly until I got a price for exactly what I wanted that I was comfortable with. Just email Marie and ask her all of your questions. She is such a pleasure to deal with and always responds promptly.

Sorry about your previous experience with Videomaker. At least you found out before your wedding was a week away

Everyone pretty much summed it up. Wild Rose is worth the money, and the time!!! Marie is a sweetheart, I couldnt ask for better.
They are so creative also, and will listen to your input. As Stef said, I'm not sure about the sitting in part, but they will value any input you have and make sure they deliver what you want.

Have you called them yet? You won't regret it at all. You deserve a good videographer after what you've been through. Good Luck

do your self a favor and look at bellarino. they are awesome and extremely professional and thourough, their work is amazing and they are 100% relaiable and the price is very resonalble. they made my website( see profile- copy and paste)
and my oct 20 wedding video is ready!!! less than 2 months- with baby pics editing the whole nine. i cannot say enough good things about them. if you need price i can email them to you.


ps- i almost book videomaker too because of the price- but he never called me back so im neuritc and i said forget- bellarino's prices are comparable.

I got the pink rose package- the only thing I don't have is the grooms house. I got everything else! Not sure if they negotiate their prices-- don't thinkt hey do, but maybe if you take some stuff out....

Packages start at 1500 and go to 3000.

Antoinette! I'm so glad you responded about Bellarino. I was getting afraid, all these Wild Rose brides and just me! lol! I just looked at the webpage that Bellarino did for you. I love it! I have to get my pre-wedding pics in to them.

Thankfully, we are not one of those that were scammed. We are in the planning process and video was next on our list. We just booked photographer and dj. Our appointment is at 11am. What time is your appt and where do you have to drive in from?
