Money purse or envelope box...?

I was wondering if you girls were going to carry a money purse at the reception while greating everyone (collecting envelopes along the way) or are you having an envelope box?

I'm most likely borrowing a box that my friend used - I like boxes especially for those people who forget to give you the card when you come around to the tables and then the night is over and you're talking to a million relatives so they can't get your attention and they just want to get their car back from the valet and they don't know where to put the card so you'll find it.... I don't know why I'm rambling but this has happened to me so many times at weddings!

Where are you putting the box? I went to a wedding where they had it at the cocktail hour and it was so nice not to have to carry around the card the whole time, but our cocktail is outside so I don't know where would be a good place to put it.

I was going to get a box, but my mom said that it was totally tacky.. I thought it wasn't.. but I guess it is assumptive.. i don't know.. I'll just have a bag.

We had the bag. The box is nice, if it isn't proudly presented on a table. I think that is tacky- JMO~ please don't jump on me. I think that it screams come give me gifts. My friend had the birdcage sitting right on the sweetheart table- I didn't care for it. I didn't even really carry the bag, just put the cards inside and gave to a family member to hold. I felt embarrassed carrying it around with me!
