Question about bridal showers...Please help

Are any of you having children at the bridal shower? If you have a flower girl in your wedding party are you inviting the flower girl to your shower? See I want to only invite my two flower girls but I am being told by my fh family that is not fair to other kids and it is not right a lot of people will get upset.(Mainly my fsil which I explain the whole story about that and all I have to say is killing her with niceness worked in a way but now I am getting bullied which I have been bullied all thre school and now even after I get out of grade school, and high now I am being bullied yet again. )I do not think I have to invite children to the shower which is being thrown by my mother and being paid in full by my mother. I think the only children that should be invited is my two flower girls. Please help.

I agree with you. Children are going to be SO bored at a shower!! It's only a few hours long ppl can leave their kids at home!

i agree! unless you have a special relationship with those other children theres no need! they will be bored and create chaos at your shower......even the flower girls dont truly need to be invited unless you want them there......tell your FMIL that you want the FGs b/c they are in the BP only and no other children.

We're not having a flower girl or ring bearer, so no, I will not be having kids at the shower. They definitely would be bored and inevitably start trouble.

I agree! Invite the two flower girls! Who cares about fsil, she needs to grow up and learn that the universe does not revolve around her! It is your day!

I am actually having more children at the shower than at the wedding. I have a lot of cousins' kids that are girls and love girly things so they are going to be my helpers!

Not toddlers or anything, they will all be in the 8-12 range.

Ditto!!! I am only having my twin nieces who are my flower girls but I am sure my SIL is going to want to bring my two newphews who are my ring bearers.
