Invitation Question....

I know etiquette usually says to do:

Outer: Mr Joseph Smith
Inner: Mr. Smith

BUT in my case there are 4 Mr. Smiths (all brothers over 18) under the same roof, so I am going to do:

Outer: Mr. Joseph Smith
Inner: Mr. Joseph Smith

Is this ok? I just dont want the reply cards to get confused!

The 'inner envelope' is different from the 'reply envelope'

That's fine, but the reply cards have nothing to do with the envelope wording.
I am assuming that each brother is receiveing their own invitation.

For your own good, number the back of each reply card, and make note of that number on your master guest list. This way if the brothers Smith do not write their name on the reply card, you will know that #57 is assigned to Joe Smith, #58 is Mike Smith, and so on.
Use a light pencil to do so.
I also found it easier when checking the reply cards to see which one was missing. Easier to spot a number out of sequence than to find names.

No...I just dont want 4 invitations sitting around their house that all say Mr. Smith. Long story...guess I didnt explain it good enough but I think I will just follow through with my plan!
