Re: Jersey Shore

which beach are you going to? the Jersey shore is really looooooong and there a bunch of different towns/beaches. There's Seaside, LBI, Point Pleasant, Wildwood, Cape May (my personal favorite-stay at the Sandpiper or Congress Hall, both really nice), Belmar, Spring Lake, Bradley Beach, Ocean Grove, there's more...

Re: Jersey Shore

LBI has a lot of great B & B's. You will spend the same amount as a hotel and its much nicer. google LBI and they hae a few websites.

Re: Jersey Shore

Where do you want to go?

My family goes to a small beach town between Atlantic City and Cape May - we love it, but it's mostly families.

We have been to many other towns for visits while vacationing...I like Cape May, especially for couples. If you go there, try the Washington Inn (to eat) soo good!

what kind of 'scene' are you into? If you're into the club scene then go to Seaside or Belmar. Very young, very....well did you ever see MTV's True Life I'm a Jersey Shore Girl, or True Life I Have Shore House? If you did, it's that kinda scene.

If you just want bars, restaurants and things to do with a great beach, then I would suggest either LBI or Cape May. I personally love Cape May, it's more of a small town feeling, gorgeous old victorian homes, really cute shopping area, bars, great restaurants and the beach is beautiful. Great thing about Cape May is that most everything is in walking distance. As far as lodging, it's mostly hotels/motels and bed and breakfasts.

LBI is a pretty big area in itself, but it also has a good mix of everything. It's not as picturesque as Cape May but its still alot of fun without being overly cheesy. Lots of families and a ton of places to go, restaurants and bars, but you have to drive. You can call local cabs, there's not many, but they exist. Lodging is mostly motels, some are sketchy ,some are very nice.

Re: Jersey Shore

Hey... I'm a Jersey girl here and know a lot about the Jersey shore. Especially since i had a Jersey shore house in Belmar for many years (in my younger days)

You want a nice area without having to go all the way down to Cape May try Spring Lake or ever better... Long Branch. It's sooo nice there and there are a ton of great restaurants on the water that turn into a night club later on. Check out the Pier Village
