Totally bummed out about E-Ring...
I've been wearing it for a year and never had a problem with it before. Now I have this awful red rash around my ring finger. My Doctor told me that I''ve developed an allergic reation to the white gold of my e-ring. She says this happens and that I can still wear it, just not when I get this reaction and that it can be on & off.
I am really bummed that I can't wear it today.. I hope I can wear it tomorrow especially since we're having out first meeting with the priest

Re: Totally bummed out about E-Ring...
The doctor is giving me a cream to use when this happens... but it will happen again. She said sometimes people can develop an allergic reaction to metals, even if they are exposed to them for long periods of time before.
In a few days the rash should be gone and I can wear the ring again... until the next outbreak and then repeat cycle.
My manager's husband has the same problem. He wore his wedding band without a problem fora few years, and now he gets what I have.
My Doctor suggest I try platinum for my wedding band and not white gold. She said platinum is less likely to cause reactions but she can't be 100% about that.

Re: Totally bummed out about E-Ring...
that stinks!!! is changing the setting to platinum an option?i opted not to get a white gold setting bc it can give me a rash sometimes and my skin turns it yellowish. platinum was definitely the way to go for me.
i hope it gets better soon!!

I would speak with a jeweler I'm sure this is not uncommon. They may have a barrier of some sort that you can put on it. GL

I agree, I would go back to the jeweler where your FH purchases it and ask his opinion.
