The Wedding Center Commack

Anyone have any experience with them?? I think I am going to order my girls bm dresses there. It seems to be the most convenient for all my girls.

Thanks!

BTW I am going with Bari Jay 760 for my bm's and 765 for my my MOH in red with a white sash.

Re: The Wedding Center Commack

Very nice! My sister got her Maids dresses there including mine as MOH. I enjoyed their service and the seamstress did a great job on my dress. It as a tea length strapless chiffon gown (Alfred Angelo)

I went there for my girls last Saturday and we tried on a few. I think I'll be going back to Helen's (Commack) for the dresses, that's where I got my gown as well. I liked a dress there (by Jordan).

Helen's is somehow related to the Wedding Center, its in a different building...

Do a search on here. I've heard not so good things about them. Just FYI.

Re: The Wedding Center Commack

When my sister got married we got our BM's dresses there. I wasn't happy with the service or the seamstress, but it was almost 6 years ago. They also changed the price on us without notifying us. When I called to speak to someone about it, the manager (I don't remember exactly who he was) wasn't very nice at all.

But, I do know someone who got their wedding dress there and loved everything about them. They also have such a big selection, its hard to resist going there. I think I may even go to look.

I went there to try on wedding dresses, and the lady was super rude to me. Idk maybe you have better luck with them than I.

Re: The Wedding Center Commack

I have gone there to try on wedding dresses and I know I felt rushed b/c they were closing in like an hour... like that wasn't enough time. The lady was rude.
And I know my FSIL got a dress for her brothers wedding and for some reason she had to get it altered somewhere. I am not sure if she got it altered there and it wasn't right, which I think is the case, or she didn't get it altered there and took it somewhere else. But I think it is that they didn't do it right...

Re: The Wedding Center Commack

I went there on Sunday. They are closed but He opened the store for myself and a few other ladies who couldn't get there during the week. It is family owned and everyone was so nice and helpful. The owners daughter Stephanie helped me and try on a gazillion dresses and she was so patient and friendly. There prices are also really good. I def. Recommend them. I will be going back this weekend to narrow down the 3 dresses I liked.

Re: The Wedding Center Commack

I ordered my dress from there and will be going back for my bridesmaids dresses. They can be kinda rude and rush you, and the owner always tries to get you to get their complete package deal thing but with all that aside, its not bad if you just try to ignore them. I got my dress for over 200 dollars less that it cost everywhere else I looked so for me, it was good. The people who work with the bridesmaids are much much more laid back than the people who help with the bridal gowns. Hope that helpssss.

Re: The Wedding Center Commack

The discounts are not worth it. Every single one of my bridesmaids had a problem not only going to get fitted but the attitudes, rudeness, lack of professionalism continued during alterations. Is this really necessary for a company today during a recession. My dress is beautiful but the crap I dealt with from rude beeooches to losing sizes. Unacceptable. DON'T GO HERE ITS A RAT HOLE UNLESS YOU WANT EXTRA STRESS. Especially KAREN what a nightmare she is... Your day of trying on your wedding dress should be filled with happiness not attitude from some old lady that hates life. Spent thousands of dollars on dresses here and got an attitude. They tried to sell me wedding packages including, tux and all inclusive!! To good to believe when I went home really read what I was thinking about buying 1. Grooms tux is always free anywhere you go so that's a load of crap. 2. Flowers- they told me to just give them pics of what I wanted and they would mirror it. No creativity cant talk to the florist and yea this is my first and last wedding I don't want to copy someones flowers on the knot or bride.com. Laim!!! 3. DJ- Only covered min 4 hours no ceremony, no cocktail hour. Ok what am I paying for??? Oh yea and you can't talk to the DJ so no requesting until wedding day. Right yea not going to work for me.... Its a wedding not a sweet 16. 4. Limos- only 3 hours and they are trying to charge you ridiculous prices... 5. Photos. That's what we all care about ok. Well the albums are like @ 1980 style and the all inclusive package doesn't come with anything they mention when you sit down. Just negatives. Ok what am I going to do with them make a scrap book? I wanted albums for myself and parents......another thousand just for that... They don't host the pics online and its a little 2000 and late for that. Everyone has a computer now and photos don't cut it....Look around or send your mom (they love this stuff)or maid of honor to a bridal expo show and collect stuff from Limos, flowers, video, dj, get what you want for half the price and know who you are dealing with. This is your day!!! Not some old guy trying to make money off you and buying a summer house or going golfing... Don't forget this is your day.......
