50 effin days and.........now 45 and it gets even better ladies

My one BM calls to schedule her fitting dresses aren't in yet.

UPDATE 8/12/08
Get two calls on my cel phone w/in 5 minutes from my bridal salon. No message but I got concerned and immediately call back. When they answer my call here is the convo:

1. 'Megan when is your wedding date?' As I almost fall off my effin chair I calmly state 9/27/08

2. 'How many BM's do you have?' We only have info on 3 and thought you had more.....

As they go through the list of names, they were missing my sister!!!!!!!! NOW MIND YOU THAT MY ENTIRE BRIDAL PARTY WAS MEASURED AND PAID IN FULL FOR THEIR GOWNS 3/8/08

3. 'Do you happen to know her measurements?' I actually had her receipt with them written on so I was able to tell her.

I asked them if the other gowns were ordered, she wouldn't give me a straight answer...only that they should know better by tomorrow when they will arrive.


I honestly don't think they even ordered any of the gowns and when my one BM called to schedule her fitting, they realized what happened and decided to call me b/c they could not find my sister's info.

45 days.....W T F am I going to do OR what should I do if they can't get them in time

My BM dresses didnt come in until a month before..it was more than enough time for the fittings.

First I was told May, then June, then the first week in August... when i called last week she said Thursday (today) the latest... i still haven't gotten a call.

My BM dresses only came in last Friday. About 2 months after they were supposed to be in. These bridal places order the dresses when they know they can....so they don't have to store them for too long.

I'd certainly be freaking out if I were you, but wait til you hear from them tomorrow.
There will be plenty of time for alterations (provided that they are already ordered). My BM dresses came in a while ago, and they told the girls to wait til the beginning of September to start fittings.

Can you ask to speak to a manager or the owner of the salon, in person? Ask to see the dresses and if they cant produce them for you ask the manager point blank how she plans on getting your girls dresses so quickly. She will have to do a rush order and special shipping and she will of course have to eat the extra charges. So sorry that you have to deal with this.

I used Ariana Studios in floral park and my BM dresses came in 4 weeks.

Yes, please post the salon so that other brides know not to use them. Thank you.
BTW...It shouldn't be that hard for them to call the designer and figure out if the dress (your sisters) was made or not. It's not that complicated. I would def. try ordering another dress...just to be safe. (but of course, out of the salon's pocket) As long as your sis has a receipt, you should be good.
