Queens or staten island for make up

Ok well tomorrow is helen's wedding and I am a BM. Just getting a wash and blow dry for hair bc its real short and just cut it again yesterday so not much else i can do. But i am definitely getting my make up done. I thought i would go to christie's & co. Still might go but trying to think of other options. i was wondering if i should do it in SI instead. DH and i are leaving early from queens to check into the hotel and get ready there.

I personally cant think of anyone that is real good with make up in astoria or forest hills, christies is the only place that comes to mind. Do you know of any other places?

Or if you know a real good place in SI, i might get it done there.

I dont know SI very well but spectrym on austin st does make up, although I've never used them.

well youve used christie's & con so let me ask you...would you try spectrym or recommend sticking with christie's. Its stupid why im even considering a different place, but only reason is bc i feel its the opposite direction of where im going and gonna backtrack but eh its not that far so shouldn't be bad.

Plus the price for make up at christie's is real good and i know they do good work. Guess i just have to make sure i get out of there on time

I wouldn't switch. If I found a place I really like why take the chance? Try Lisa at Christie's I really liked her!

youre right, i actually had someone else cut my hair yesterday, and i should've just waited until the girl who originally cut my hair was back at work. I would've waited but i wanted to cut my hair for helens wedding bc it started looking a bit messy. Its not what i really asked for and it needs to be fixed bc one side is a bit messed up and not straight. I just hope it wont be noticeable tomorrow

Yeah after my experience yesterday i should stick to someone i know will do a great job. Thanks for the recommendation

yes they did my hair and maekup for my BIL wedding as well and they were great.

I used Marie, but I would ask who is their best makeup person there.....there are a very well known salon on Staten Island

thank you so much. I have to really figure out the timeline right now. I know what time i have to be at the hotel by but gotta figure out what time i have to make a make up appointment for, what time to leave queens and all that. Dh wants to leave at noon from queens which would mean i need to get hair and make up started around 10:30-11am and not sure if i want to that early

Avanti's in Staten Isalnd does a great job on both hair and make up!

Is is well know and one of the stylist actually was on an MTV wedding special years ago (The Russo's Wedding - it was very memorable -lol)

Christie's in bayside is awesome! and the only place I have been to in your area (sorry) ..they did my hair and makeup for my b-pics!
