I think Nicky at Space in Astoria is phenomenal. I love how she did my makeup for my son's christening. I'm not a big fan of Christie's makeup to be honest with you but that could be just the two artists I had. One came straight from MAC and made me look like a drag queen and the other was just not listening to what i wanted.

Nicky at space hit the nail on the head. And it lasted all night.

Thank you but i already booked it this afternoon. I had my make up done at christie's before and i love how my make up came out so hopefully it works out again hahaha. Im bringing in a picture and saying that i want it EXACTLY the same so hopefully it comes out that way hahaha.

Do they do airbrushing at space? im curious bc i grew up in astoria and never really found anyone good in astoria who does make up, infact everyone i know who lives in astoria never gets it done in astoria.

but i have another guy Mike @ the queens center mall who does great make up - especially with the eyes! it wasn't airbrush like Dimitry's but i couldn't compare -and he charged 30 buks! can't beat it...

Sorry! My laptop was so slow it only loaded the first page of your post and Ididn't realize you had booked until after i posted. Like i said, my Christie's experience might have just been a freak happening because my girlfriends have come out looking nice... my makeup girl had just started there that day and I swear she had a history in costume makeup because or my Godson's christening I looked like i could have been in the remake of 'the bride of frankenstein'!!

I think SoVic should do makeup! i think it looks great in her avatar!

its ok not a problem. Its good to know theres people in astoria who do make up well. Anytime my friends and i need to get make up done, we'd prefer to do it in astoria but never really know of any place good. I have 4 weddings within the next 4 weeks, 2 of them this weekend lol so i might need it in the near future, thank you

I would go with who you've been to before. Even with the backtracking, it will probably be easier-you'll know what to expect. Yay for Helen's wedding-I hope she has a great day!!!
