Hotel room quote for out of town guests

Being that my fiancee lives in Pennsylvania (as well as the rest of his family and friends), and I also have many guests coming from Florida, I would like to get a quote for hotel rooms in Nassau County. I have heard that some hotels will make you pay for the rooms you reserve in the block even if they guests cant make it (and even if they cancel with advance notice). I want to be able to have the option of canceling with advance notice if need be, and not be charged for the rooms. I am probably going to need at least 10 rooms (I think). The guests dont need deluxe suites, and I know for a fact that some of the guests are on a budget. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
