question on thank you's

Is february too long to wait to send out thank you's if my wedding was in september? I'd like to get them out sooner but I won't have my proofs until january (I think, it could be longer) and I'm not happy with the sample thank you my photographer sent me. Should I suck it up and just order the sample thank you they sent me?

No I don't think it is too long. My parents went to a wedding in February and just got the Thank you this weekend.
