tattoos
So anyone got them, serious ink? Ink that will show in your wedding dress that may make an old lady faint? Anyone who has tattoos are you thinking of covering them at all? Just wondering. FMIL& FFIL hate tattoos and I have always been respectful around them and kept covered up, but after the wedding all bets are off. They know I have them. FH has more them I do, but a tux covers all.

Re: tattoos
I think you should do what makes you comfortable. If you want to cover them or show them. I dont have any but FH has alot. His tux will cover them though. HTH

Re: tattoos
I have three one on the outside of my ankle that says 'Daddy' under a cross and it's just black and white. One on the inside of my other ankle that is bright green and it is a shamrock, and a flower on my lower back...yes I have a tramp stamp, but an elegant tramp stamp
! Some of FH family only recently say them and we have been together for 4 years! FH has an armband with a cross. So all of then can be covered and will probably only be seen when he removes the garter

Re: tattoos
i have tattoos but they are in places that get covered. a friend of FH's who got married 2 years ago, his wife had a big tattoo on her shoulder blade. i really loved the tattoo but with a wedding dress on i focused more on the tattoo. it was a decent size so that definitely made it more eye catching. but i agree, that you should do what makes you comfortable.

Re: tattoos
I have 3 small tattoos, the only one thats visible is on my left wrist-its the word LOVE in a really pretty script.I'm not gonna cover it on my wedding day, my photorapher said if I wanted it photoshopped out of any pics that would end up in my album he would do it for me.
As someone who does makeup for a living, trying to cover it can potentially get a bit messy-no makeup is TRULY transfer resistant, and if it WAS it might be more impossible to get off. Its fine to cover it if its on your neck, back, or arm, but on a wrist it could rub onto your dress or onto others.
SO be careful!

Re: tattoos
I don't think I am going to cover anything. I have many tattoos. What I was most concerned about was my left arm I have a 1/4 sleeve on the inside of the arm. Also on my back I have a tattoo for FH on my shoulder blade. It is a swallow very colorful with FH's initial grasped in it's claws. Swallows are mated pairs for life, so I did this as a tribute to FH after he got my initial rather large on his calf in old english. I think that one is sort of appropriate. I think some people may have something to say or more like think. My veil sort of hides those two. My neck will be covered by my hair, not worried. Everything else except a small om on the other wrist won't be seen.

Re: tattoos
I have 3 tattoos, two on my back and one on the top of my foot. All will be visible on the wedding day and I'm not covering them up. Most people coming know that I have them and if it bothers them then oh well.

Re: tattoos
I presently have 4 but they wont show in my gown...I have plans for a big shoulder piece and am putting it off until after the wedding...if it was already there I dont think I would have covered it up but I who knows...the others are on my lower back, stomach, leg and foot so I am good.... I am ALL about tattoos and FH has plenty including one almost complete arm sleeve but I dont think I would want too much ink showing if I was walking down the aisle in a church...think I would feel funny...jmo

Re: tattoos
I have three tattoos Two will be covered up by my dress the third one I am not sure if I am covering it up or not. My parents say don't cause it is nice( I have a little red rose tattoo on the back of my shoulder). One of my brides maids is covered in tattoos I am trying to think of a way to get her to cover them without hurting her feelings then again she has bin a big pain about everything with my wedding so I may just tell her I want you to cover them. They a really big tattoos and she is a very small girl. I already got her a shawl to wear so at least if she gives me a hard time they will be covered by the shawl cause all the girls got one with there dress.

Re: tattoos
I have one medium sized tat on the back of my shoulder. I'm not covering it up. My MOH has about 4 visible tats and I'm not asking her to cover them either. I asked her to be my MOH and she already had the tattoos, not like I didn't know lol. My FMIL isn't a fan of them but she won't say anything about them.Welcome New Vendors
