I will go to your class tomorrow Marcela if you want to write my deposition questions ( we have to conduct 30 min depositions - we question our prof who is a creep so he will purposely be a jerk) So if you want to do it for me (he doesn't want open ended questions - I have to depose a dr - all I have for infor for this guy is a 72 hour report he filled out. We don't even have an answer for the complaints we wrote - he tells us just assume they denied everything.

So how about a trade

I have to admit,that is a long day! I always used to go to the ones that were broken up into a couple of different sessions. Now my ironing and curtain hanging doesn't seem too bad after all.

I hate Prof.'s like that. My whole first year of law school was filled with oral arguments and unanswered questions to complaints..I hated it!! The worst was some of the opponents would make up facts

LOL Sue...See!! I would've picked a two day session, but with FH's job he never knows when he'll be home early or late. So we just wanted to get it over with on 1 day.

Sunday , I am taking the BP to lady Mendl's for High Tea to thank them ( in advance). I think April & May are going to be pretty hectic, and I wanted it to be relaxing

Yeah well I did all of that is Civ pro and legal methods - with my appellate briefs and 40 mins arguments Ugh. This is pre- trial lit - he gave us a very small packet - with basically a 3/4 of a page of info as if the client came in and 3 totally illegable dr reports from the hospital (case- guy gets picked up at the hicksville train station by police b/c he was muttering to himself on New Years Day. He gets taken to Nassau County Medical Center when the nurse tells the police he is harmless - he has been there 3 times within the month and is harmless and is released immediately each time. The police insist this guy HAS to be admitted - my client gets upset that he is being admitted and wants to leave. They decide not only to admit him but they physcially restrain him and medicate him against his wishes. Then transfer him to Pilgrims where they keep him until the day of his hearing and then release him without any hearing. UGH.

SO we have nothing from this prof. But since there were 2 questions and he likes the obnoxious guys in the class who tell him to F*** off in class - he helps them with their question and never goes over ours.

So I have to dispose a guy I can barely read his report (the only thing I have to go on is that he put that his vital signs were normal and that he wasn't a danger to himself.) Luckly he didn't fill our some of the form so I can ask him questions about some of that stuff - How can you say someone is agitated and is a problem if they have normal vital signs - and (low pulse) ugh- I found the real case which he put a twist to and we lost

Wow that s ucks. Your Prof sounds like my med mal prof from 2 semesters ago. I went into his class, saw how disgusting and obnoxious he was and dropped the class the next day. That was the first and last time I ever dropped a class.

Is your Prof going to tell you who won or lost? Our profs never did that. What was important was that you knew the law, analyzed it correctly and did research.

probably not - but since he is giving us the information he will basically determine the outcome - no he told us after we started - that we had actually cases (the first assignment we had the different mental hygene laws so we are only doing the research for the assignments now.
I couldn't drop b/c there wasn't really anything else to pick up that fit into my schedule
with this guy three people can hand in the same paper and get three totally different grades. He loves the guys in the class- they are rude to him and talk thru him the whole class but he likes them and spends part of the class discussing sports with them.

Med mal - sounds like a course I would have liked to take but they don't offer it at my school. Maybe it is the same guy - is he degrading to women, obnoxious, and just horrible to deal with? Funny part is he seems to like me and has asked me to work with him in his clinic for my pro bono requirement

Yes he is degrading to women and just plain nasty. I felt very uncomfortable in his class. But I don't think it's the same guy, b/c my prof. is some big shot med mal attorney in the City and has his own huge law firm. He only teaches that one class at my school.
