Two First Dances

I was told by one of the DJs that now people are doing two first dances. Has anyone heard of/seen/done this? How does this work?

Our DJ mentioned this to us and we liked the idea. He said that by the time they call up the bridal party then the rest of the guests to come and dance the song is over. He suggested 2 in a row so everyone can take their time to dance. We couldn't decide on a wedding song so we loved the idea that we could pick 2 now.

I don't know about two dances, but FH and I are doing three songs, one right after the other. The first one will be probably be like 2-3 minutes, the two other ones about 1-2 minutes.

I want to do 2 first songs but kinda have the second one blend into it and have the second one a funny dance but FH hates to dance so gettin him to learn one might not work lol

Oh! I'm glad to hear this! I really want to do a choreographed dance to 'Love is Strange' from the Dirty Dancing sound track but I didn't think it would fit as a wedding song per say.

Now I just have to convince FH to take dance lessons!

our first dance song is almost 9 minutes long.. so we're only doing one, but we'll prob follow it with another slow song.

My sister did 2. They danced to the first one just the two of them and then the second had the bridal party and guests.
