Re: good vineyards

I just planned my wedding and wanted a vineyard wedding for next april. all vineyards (that i looked at) have a 'site fee.' they range from 8K-16K, then you usually have to rent your own tables, linens, caterer/bartender, etc. I decided on Vineyard Cateres-it's a working vineyard that has it's own catering hall on the property and its very reasonable. Otherwise here are some of the site fee's that I was quoted. Oh, and most only hold up to 200 people

Bedel: $16,000
Raphael: $16,000
Sparkling Pointe: $8,000-$10,000 (depends on season)
Martha Clara: $12,000 (or close to that)

After collecting these proices we stopped looking :) and went with Vineyard Caterers

Martha Clara's site fee is $1000. Definitely not 12k, we looked into having our wedding there but ultimately had our eparty there instead. Even though it was a 'cheap' site fee compared to others, I wouldn't recommend them, we didn't have a good experience. Its in my review in case your interested in reading about it.

Re: good vineyards

We also looked into doing this and aside from it being very expensive, alot of the vineyards have rules as to what time it can start and what time it must be over, especially during peak season (May-Oct). Some of them required you to buy a certain amount of their wines. And most of them do not have a liquor license, so if you want beer and liquor served you have to obtain that. If you are serioulsy considering this, I would suggest hiring a wedding planner that has experience with vineyard weddings. Good luck!

Re: good vineyards

Wolffer Estate is my favorite-- but it has about a $9k site fee.

I dont think any vineyard wedding is cheap.

Have you looked into Giorgio's? They are in the process of redoing the outside-- and building a vineyard, courtyard etc for cocktail hour

Re: good vineyards

They are all pretty expensive, but I believe Martha Clara's is the cheapest. I think I was quoted $4-5,000 just for the site fee. And it's not that nice looking! If you call they will give you info over the phone. After seeing a few online and calling Martha Clara, we decided on Vineyard Caterers. Imagine there's a RH in the vineyard, and that's what it is. Easy and convenient, no renting tables, finding separate caterers, etc. It's worth a try if you want a vineyard wedding and are on a budget!

Re: good vineyards

Raphael's IMO is the most gorgeous place to have a wedding but it is pricey. They will be able to work withyou more if you are willing to book November-March...

Re: good vineyards

I agree with Vineyard Caterers...my FH has always wanted a vineyard wedding but the vineyard site fees were way out of control. Vineyard Caterers is gorgeous...with their indoor/outdoor facilities and phenomenal food menu. Bill is great!! I would definitely recommend Vineyard Caterers. Can't wait to have my reception there!!
