what is your mom/FMIL wearing?

I told them both they could pick whatever they want (kind of conflicting interest - mom is super thin, MIL is not - better to let them choose)

I was just wondering what everyone else's is wearing.

My mom bought a floor length goldish champagne colored dress, it is really pretty and not the typical 'MOB' dress. Not frumpy at all. She got it at Lord & Taylor in Manhasset.

FMIL hasn't gotten hers yet.

My mom got a gold dress also at lord and taylor too. How funny

My mom cant pass up a good deal anywhere.

My mom is wearing a strapless gown. It is beautiful, she got it at Cache. It is black and has a slit down the side that has white showing through and a starburst of rhinestones on the side. She looks beautiful in it.

My FMIL wanted to know what my mom would be wearing so she could pick out what she would wear & I told her to wear whatever she wants but she wanted me to ask my mom. So I did & got the same answer I thought I would ---- She won't know until a few weeks before but will probably be something ankle length & not too dressy. It depends on how much weight she loses and my FMIL shouldn't wait on her but get whatever she wants!

I let them both get whatever they wanted...they both came up with a blue dress...but two different shades...so no big deal...

this is a picture of my mom (right - with the parasol - oy vey) and DH's 3 moms!! yes three women raised him...his 'real' mom is on the left...

Boop2704! Our moms are wearing such similar dresses! My mom is wearing the black with the white showing but it's not a side slit, it meets in the middle where three rhinestone buttons bring it together! How funny is that bc it's not your typical MOB dress AT ALL! I know exactly which dress you are talking about, it's very pretty.

sept bride 03... thats a really nice dress...

my mom(for my Nov04 wedding) in February bought a dress from womens dress barn(reg 100, on sale for 35)..long dark blue dress with matching long jacket

This is what my mom is wearing but in Eggplant (plum). FMIL is an irridesent purple/blue floor length with spaghetti straps and some beads on it. She got it at Lord & Taylor(she works there)

I'm having my dress made, so my Mom is having her dress made as well. Her first choice was a light sky blue lace jacket & skirt....but she wanted a slit almost all the way up her leg!!!

I said, not to my wedding! So then, a few weeks ago she called me and said, ' I've got it, did you see Queen Latifa at the Oscars???? She had a beautiful silver skirt on, I loved it!' After I told her that the skirt had a train & the only one w/ a train that day would be ME, she went back to the blue lace, jacket only, with a beige dress underneath, no slit..... instead, the dress is VERY LOW CUT!!!!! talk about oy vey!
I love my Mom, but she's very flashy!!! Unlike me- lol

We told them both they can wear whatever they want. My mom bought a dress...haven't seen it. FMIL asked if she could wear black to our summer morning wedding. I said yes. I really just want them to be comfortable and happy
