OMG that bathroom is ridiculous!!! (in a good way!!) was that a bar i saw off the family room? I can't wait to move out of NY!!! (florida isn't good for us either cuz FH doesn't do heat very well!) That house is gorgeous!

very nice house.. I wish i could move there but me at FI could never part from our family & friends on long island... so we are going to be stuck paying for an overpriced house...I personally love florida... everyone is soo nice down there(the only thing its missing for me is snow)

We are in Pensacola, which is in the NW part and very different since there aren't many snow birds!

We have been looking at some great homes on the water in navarre which is right next to destin that go for as much as my parents ranch home in bethpage!!

WOW!

My parents moved to the west coast of FL a few years ago...and they are soooo happy. After selling their LI house, they were able to buy an unbelievable home-four bedroom, three bath, lanai, pool, high ceilings/huge picture windows...the works.

Good luck! It's definitely worth considering...

That is so beautiful, it's not just Florida though, for all those who can't stand Florida. Outside this area, is just so nice. I have friends in Atlanta and one has a really really nice house for $140K, something that would be at least $500-600K (depending on where) and another set of friends with an UNBELIEVABLE house for $300K Their house is amazing!!!!!! I wish I had pictures.

We can't move till DH retires from the FD in 11 years. Then we're gone...........
