Re: Need infor for bachelorette parties in the city
The chinese restaurant with the drag queens as waiters/waitresses is Lucky Cheng's and although I heard it's hit or miss with the food (some say it's OK some say it's not good) but you're really not going for the food..you're going for the fun. The 'girls' are hilarious and there's a show sometimes on weekends. I went years ago and didn't see a show and the food was OK. Not 'Tavern on the Green' quality but not horrible either. The cocktails are great. The website is http://www.planetluckychengs.com/

I'm going there for my Bach party and then I plan on going to Culture Club afterwards, if we dont' get out of LC's too late. Culture Club is all 80's music (new wave, free style, etc) and it's on Varick St. in the Village but I forget the street address.
However, the do male revues.

Re: Need infor for bachelorette parties in the city
We went to LIPS for my bachelorette party. It was so much fun and the food wasn't bad or that expensive. They put on a funny show and I wasn't really that embarrassed with the 'male organ' cake that my friend Jenn got for me...and everyone got to see me blow tha candle out! I do have a picture of some of the 'ladies' if you do a search..

I didnt think the food was that bad at Lucky Changs..but I had drank probably a case of beer that night, anything would have tasted good!

Re: Need infor for bachelorette parties in the city
I second for Lips - Lucky Chengs food stinks and the D- Queens in there had Plenty of ATTITUDE to go along with it - there is a slamming Italian resturant right next to lips (I think it might even be attached) Artepasta - I think it is 17 Greenwich Street - it is quiet there but really goodOther places that are cool to eat - an a little more lively

The donkey show was W E I R D. The music rocked (70's disco) but the show was kinda bizarre. I don't know maybe it was just me but I would have not gone there if I knew what it was about first.

What about hogs and heffers. Never been there myself, but I heard it is tons of fun. Could be one of your stops that night.

We went to dangerfields and had dinner there as well....they offered steak, chicken or fish and it was actually pretty good. And the comedy was awesome. Sat me right in front in the middle and always always pointed me out and included me in their jokes. It was a good time.

Re: Need infor for bachelorette parties in the city
I went to Lucky Cheng's for mine and had a great time. My meal was very good(it was called ginger pot, or something like that, with different seafood), but my friends got pad thai which was not so good. The drinks are really good too, lots of different martinis, a bit expensive, but average for NYC.
