The Devil Wears Prada
Anyone read it? I finally got it from my library - I'm a few chapters into it. Pretty good so far...

Re: The Devil Wears Prada
Thought it was pretty good. The story line drags for awhile at some points and there are times I was just like DO SOMETHING!!

Re: The Devil Wears Prada
Yeah, I kind of have the feeling it's going to be 'Nanny Diaries'-ish.

Re: The Devil Wears Prada
I read this a few weeks ago and to honest I didnt like it that much. I felt like it dragged. But I was glad in the end that she told that lady to stuff it.

I loved it - thought it was hysterical. And yes, people like Miranda DO exist! I didn't care for the Nanny Diaries as much - but I really enjoyed Devil.

Re: The Devil Wears Prada
I liked it. I loved that it had a satisfying ending...too many books don't.I'm currently reading How to Lose Friends and Alienate People by Toby somebody-or-other...its his memior and he gives a description of Anna Wintauer (sp?), the editor of Vogue and I think that's who 'Miranda' is based on. His description of Conde Naste sounds almost exactly like Elias Clarke.

I liked it a lot. One of my closest friends works in the fashion industry and tells me that 'Miranda's' are not uncommon.

Re: The Devil Wears Prada
I read it on my honeymoon and I liked it. Some of it dragged for me because I am not that into designers so I was a little lost. To be honest I think the designer names I know I learned from Carrie Bradshaw and company. So a lot of that was like another language to me. But that helped me to relate to Andrea and everyone in her 'other' life.

I liked it, but didn't love it...it was a good, light, fairly quick read!

Re: The Devil Wears Prada
I thought it was pretty funny especially since at the time I was working for a boss that made my life miserable. So it was nice to read that someone elses boss was more of a nightmare then mine!!
