Paul Needs some TLC! *UPDATED* Pg. 2

Paul Needs some TLC! *UPDATED* Pg. 2

Ladies, my darling little Paul is not doing so well His fever came back yesterday afternoon and he woke this morning burning up again and covered from head to toe in a strange, blotchy rash. I am at my wits end for this poor kid!

DH and I took him back to the Dr. this morning and she said this IS NOT a reaction from the chicken pox vaccine! First, she said it looked like measles!!! She said it could be from his MMR vaccine!!!
Well, I almost had to be PEELED OFF THE CEILING at that comment...you see, I *never* 'Ok'ed' the MMR vaccine 2 weeks ago, so if she had given it to him w/o my consent, I was going to go BALLISTIC on her!

She said it is typical that MMR and chicken pox are given together (not combined) - just on the same day. To me, that is just RIDICULOUS - that is way too much for a small child to handle, IMO. I CLEARLY and FIRMLY told her that after this episode, we WILL be delaying the MMR until he is a bit older.

It seems like Paul may have been reacting to the chix pox vaccine over this past weekend - but NOW, she thinks that his fever (which is still high, but not quite as bad as Sat/Sun) and his rash are viral and that it should go away on its own in a day or two. So, I have to bring him back on Thurs. for blood tests if it's not better!

Please....if you don't mind....can you guys send my little boy some of that good 'ole fashioned LIWeddings love? He could use the extra TLC right now! Thanks!
