Hair in Port Jefferson?

I origibally planned on getting ready at home and going to my usual hair place that morning but now I'm considering staying at Danford's the night before & getting ready there, so I'm looking for something in the area.

There is a great place right in Danford's - it is called Artemios or something like that I think. I've gotten highlights there a while back and gotten it cut there a few times too.

Yeah, I wasn't sure whether they were full service or what. We're checking out the room on Saturday cause there's a wedding. I guess I'll check out the salon. Thanks!

OMG...I go to HairPort which is right on Main Street and I LOVE THE WAY SHE CUTS MY HAIR!! I got to Jeanne (and only Jeanne). I plan on having her do my hair...I have to do a trial first with her!

I'm getting married at Danfords tomorrow. I'm using Julissa for hair at La Combe. She is great...I have tons of hair and she did an awesome job on the first try. They are a funky salon & most of the girls have worked in NYC.

Also, I'm getting my makeup done by Jene from La Combe. SHe is fantastic! She does alot of photo shoots for Jcrew She chargers 40. The hair is 65 for everyone. I think mine was a bit more because it took her 2 hours to get all of my very long thick hair up.

I had a trial with the women in Danfords and it was horrible. There is only one person who does updo's and she couldn't get it right. JMO

all of my BMs had their hair done at Hairport the morning of, and they were TERRIFIC!! plus, they came in at 7 am on a Sunday to accomodate us and didn't even charge us extra! I am from out of state (well sorta) so I have never used Hairport, but they treated my girls right that day and they had a blast with all the ladies there.

I believe they were one of the most reasonable salons I looked at. I want to say around $40 for a blowout/down styling and $50 for an updo. But again, i cannot stress enough, we got a great value. They spent hours on my girls and did a fabulous job (plus they all had fun!!)

Check out Hairport (it is right up the road from Danfords).
Oh yes, and if you are at all interested in a B&B right up the road from Danfords, the Golden Pineapple was absolutely fabulous. The married couple that runs it was so good to my inlaws (that is where DH's whole family stayed).

Hair Port... Its right up main street.. Thats where i was going to have my hair done till I found Somebody reasonable to come to my house... Good Luck!

Everywhere in Port Jeff that I've called is charging 60-65 and UP for updos- including HairPort and the other one- La Combe or whatever it is. Is there nothing in the area (setauket/stony brook/etc) that is around 40-45??
