Re: Remebrances & honoring deceased.

Check out www.theprintedcandle.com or www.printedcandle.com I always forget which one it is. They have the memorial candle. Also, Exclusivly Weddings (I think, in the back of the bridal mags where they have all the invite books for free- look there) has the matching stem vase if you want a flower too. I'm doing both. Don't think a poem will be involved. We are having a candle for my sister and FH's dad. Our mothers will light our memorial candles, then we will light our taper candle from the memorial candles and then our unity candle from the memorial candles.

Sorry for your loss

Re: Remebrances & honoring deceased.

We bought a memorial candle for my broter and I might have a picture of him at the end of the program that says he is here with us in spirit. I haven't done the program yet so I don't know if I will do that. Also, my florist is making me up a boutineer the day before the wedding so I can take it to my brothers grave and place it with him. I thought that was the nicest thing that the florist reccommended and offered to do for me, free of charge. He will be an honorary gm, there in spirit.

Re: Remebrances & honoring deceased.

we are doing a picture baord at our reception during the cocktail hour. it includes picutres of people in our families both living and deceased.

also, my fmil loved sunflowers so we will be placing one near ffil's seat in a vase on the table she would have sat at with him as a small, unannoucend memorial!

sorry for your loss, its very nice you are recogninzing them.

Re: Remebrances & honoring deceased.

We simply had a candle placed on the sign-in table. It was a pillar candle and said...

'In honor and loving memory of our grandparents'

list of names.

'You are with us in our hearts, today and always.'

We thought it was a subtle way to honor and acknowledge them.
