Hair Dying

Is it OK to dye your hair while you are pregnant?

Edited for my careless spelling.

Re: Hair Dying

No, no, no, Jenn.

Just curious.

I've been dying my hair so long, I don't even remember what my real hair color is.

If and when the time comes and I have to let it grow out, it will be scary.

Re: Hair Dying

My doctor said high/low lights are fine, but single processing should be avoided.

BUT every doctor has a different opinion, so check with yours.

Re: Hair Dying

Every doctor is different. Mine said NO WAY until the 8th month at least!!! Needless to say, my hair has seen way better days. But I'm using this as a time to let it rest for awhile.

Re: Hair Dying

Ugh!!! That stinks!! I started coloring my hair about eight months ago. I've got some gray coming in. Unfortunately, my family is cursed with going gray early on my dad's side. Lucky me got the gene. But I only used Aveda color at the salon, which is 97% natural and the least toxic color you can get. I wonder if it will be okay?? Otherwise, I'm going to look like the Bride of Frankenstein, dark hair with white streaks, when I'm pregnant!!!
