Just curious...my fiance and I will still be living in the same apartment we do now. Can't afford a house just yet...

We're renting now....and will continue to do so until we have a downpayment (we're saving for a house while saving for the wedding).

we're renting now, but are in the process of buying a house in FL.

Wedding is 9/18 and we're hoping to have the house built before the wedding

our plan is to BUY....if not before, right after. That is why we are not going overboard, a house and not renting is more important to us

I am in an apartment. There was just no way we could pay for the ENTIRE Wedding AND buy a house. Living very frugal while saving for a house.

We live together in an apartment now. After the wedding we will continue to live there for about another year before we start looking to buy a house. We want to be able to have the whole 20% to put down.

FI planned ahead and actually bought our house before proposing. He knew he was going to propose, the opportunity to buy the house presented itself, and he did it! And we are so glad he did because now we don't have to worry about where we are going to live after the wedding, or worry about spending what would've been a down payment on a house on our wedding! The downside is that, because we don't live together, he has to support the house himself, which means that I am paying for 95% of this wedding myself.

I bought the house before I started dating FI. He has since moved in with me. SOOO glad we don't have to buy with the housing costs the way they are

We will be renting an apartment. Since we are paying for the wedding by ourselves there is no way we can do both. Hopefully we will only have to rent for a year or two before we can afford a nice down payment on a house. Long Island is so expensive!
