We're having BP, family and OOT guests (that travelled farther than from Rockland County to Long Island).

Re: Are you inviting OOT's to Rehearsal Dinner?
all of FH's guests are out of town, and since the FIL's are hosting and paying ,they can invite whomever they want.

Re: Are you inviting OOT's to Rehearsal Dinner?
Between BP & spouses, and immediate family, my RD guest count is 41. There is NO way I'm including OOT guests as well.

Re: Are you inviting OOT's to Rehearsal Dinner?
Hmmmmm... I'm glad I addressed it here! I really do like intimate parties. I guess each mom could have a welcome brunch for each OOT's if they want.I am really not wanting to play host, or co host or co co co whatever host to that many people a day or two before our wedding! That is what our wedding is for! I'll have to have a chat with FI on this!
Thanks for your input!

I am having the same problem. I hate that my rehersal dinner is turining into a circus!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah and since my fmil suggested that my mom and her split the cost of the rd it's not really fair that fmil invites 70 people and my mom invites literally like 12. plus, fmil is not only inviting everyone she considers to be oot (some of them only being a 30 min-45 min drive away) but also close friends like her next-door neighbor! it's out of hand.
i just want it to be low-key w/ just my BP, parents, speakers... and all their significant others. my oot's are not coming from that far anyway-- an hour drive maybe at the most??
oh well, at least i'm not the only one with this problem and who feels that some things these days CAN still be 'low-key'.
