Would it be possible to set up a little screen somewhere maybe on each of the individual message board index pages showing who is in the chat room? A screen that would refresh and update when someone new joins in. If you open the chat screen, then minimize it to go back to working on something else while you wait for someone to join in, you might forget to check back in periodically to see if there is company. Well, I could forget anyway. Having a screen would alert you that someone else might be in there with you. The other benefit is if you come here and see right away there are people in the room, you could then choose to go straight to the room to join in the conversation. If the screen wouldn`t work, what about making the bar blink when someone joins in and the chat is minimized? I hope this is making sense. I`m probably using the wrong lingo. Also, one other request. LisaRose just joined me in the room and we began chatting. It`s a little difficult to read because both our text is in black. I know it has our names before what each of us is saying, but would it be possible to select our own preferences, where we could choose a colored text we would like to use. I know there may not be enough colors for everyone, but even if some of us had the same colors, we could always reset to another color based on who`s in the room at that time. Thanks for all the quick improvements since the changes have been implemented! And I`m looking forward to the changes for improvement on the chat as well.

So, do you think you could have made your post a little longer? :o) We already have that in development. I`ll have it set up the early part of next week. About the different colors for each user. In a word, forget it! :o) Alright, that was two words. But everything else is all in place. Just working out a few bugs.

That was the edited version! You must be a reporter for Newsday! :o) I think you`ll like the live chat interface that we`ve built. You`ll have the name of the people who are logged in on the right. You can click on the name and send them a completely private message. We`ll have it finished this coming week.

No, not that I know of and that's why I was SO confused about this post until I saw you had bumped an old thread!!

I can imagine that chat rooms might have caused issues, but it's interesting that they might have existed and now they don't!

I can imagine that chat rooms might have caused issues, but it's interesting that they might have existed and now they don't!

at first i was thinking that it was like old skool aol.. but maybe the 'currently xxxx on liweddings.com chat' wasn't around back then and thats what came out of it.
