We just launched the voting for Best of 2013 and we had to add an awesome prize into the mix! This contest is simple...all you have to do is go to the Best of 2013 page and vote for your favorite vendor(s) and then come back on this thread and reply and tell us one of the vendors you voted for and why. You can have multiple entries but only one vendor per reply. What will you win? The winner will receive a crazy awesome iPad mini.



This contest is open to both brides to be and newlyweds. Multiple entries are allowed but only one vendor per reply. Winner will be selected randomly from all the entries. Contest ends on midnight, February 28th.

I voted for Crest Hollow as the best reception hall because the venue is beautiful and their staff is a pleasure to work with. A special shout to my banquet manager Thomas - he's a joy to work with, puts our minds at ease, and there's always a laugh to be shared when we see him.

I can't wait to get married there in November.

I voted for East Wind. Not only is their venue absolutely gorgeous but the menu is unbelievable, food is delicious and the entire staff is so accommodating and friendly and they all seem to love what they do. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else!

For hair I voted for Angela's hair design. Angela is incredible, and I'll continue to use her for years to come. My *very* long hair stayed all night in beautiful curls. Live her!

We used interfaith union for our officiant. Father Joe was wonderful, and gave us such an unbelievably perfect ceremony. Our families loved him, and our guests are still asking for his information to suggest to others.

I voted for The Hamlet Golf and Country Club. They are absolutely AMAZING. Nicole and Hillary have been so accommodating, the venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the food is to die! I absolutely LOVE my venue!!!

I voted for Westbury Manor. I was so indecisive in the venue search process & never once felt pressured by them. They took the time to sit with me, weighed out all options, and have been nothing but friendly & helpful. Thanks to them I know we made the right choice & can't wait for us to have our reception there!

I voted for The historical Thatched Cottage for best catering hall AND best reception location in Suffolk!

Basically Thatched Cottage is a hidden gem! Beautiful grounds, amazing, plentiful food and wonderful staff. I am so excited to have my wedding reception at Thatched Cottage!!

HI DEF's sound is super high energy, they are a little bit of everything... Which you don't see too often. They play oldies to current music without flaw! They are definitely diverse & cater to all age groups.

I voted for Lighthouse as best photographer! Florio & his team are awesome! Their work speaks for itself... completely beautiful. I knew as soon as I saw Lighthouse's photos on LIW that I HAD to book them!

I also voted for Lighthouse Cinema for best videographer. Video is just as important to me as photos and I wanted cinematic. After watching samples at our first meeting with Lighthouse, I knew we HAD to book them as our videographer too!

I voted for A Modern Day Affair as best Day-of Coordinator. Laura has been wonderful so far, answering emails super quickly! I am very excited to have such a solid, experienced company that I can trust to help keep our special day running smoothly.

I voted for Wick's for best florist! The staff at Wick's has been amazingly patient & accommodating! I changed my mind twice regarding what type/color of flowers I wanted... and at each meeting, they were very helpful! I know I can trust that my flowers will be beautiful on my wedding day!

I voted for Fade to Black in the videographer (we're booked with him for both photo/video) category because Gil has been awesome to work with. After meeting him, we knew right away that we wanted him for our wedding. Hes a really cool, down to earth guy and he will work with your budget!

I voted for Camelot for best limos. Joe & his staff have also been very patient with us (ok.... me) I wasn't what I was looking for, but I did know I wanted beautiful, CLEAN cars/limos for my wedding and Camelot proved that they have that down!

I voted for Distinctive Floral Design. I had no clue about flowers or what I wanted but after sitting with Kelly and discussing the colors and theme for our wedding she helped to create an amazing vision for us. I never thought I could be so excited about flowers lol

I voted for Cheeky Details! Although I haven't needed them too much during the planning process so far(I hired them mostly to be there for me on the day of to make sure everything runs smoothly and on time)the girls have been amazing and so sweet. They are always just an email away and are always quick to respond to any questions I may have. I can't wait to work with them the day of my wedding!

I voted for Lombardi's on the Sound for Suffolk County Reception Hall. The entire venue is nothing short of stunning! The inside is absolutely pristine and the water view is bar none. Especially if I have a bright, sunny day for my wedding, I know the view will be positively breathtaking. I fell in love with Lombardi's on the Sound immediately upon walking in and I knew I couldn't have my reception anywhere else.

She is always easy to reach, and it's been an absolute pleasure working with her. I can't imagine having my wedding anywhere else!

I voted for Tommy's Tunes for best DJ because Tommy was very easy to talk to and gave us a great deal. He was professional, personable, and even gave us song ideas for our entrance! I have complete confidence that they'll keep the party going due to their amazing reputation.
