Ideas for a Suprise Party

Hi ladies, I haven't posted much on here, but I was wondering if you could help me out. I want to plan a suprise party for my husband who will finally be finished with residency this June, and am looking for any suggestions on places. He's a beer guy, so I've been looking at places like Croxleys, TJ Finleys, and the Nutty Irishman, but am very open to any ideas on places in Sufolk or Nassau (just not queens, it's too far)... I'm thinking about 60 people, and open bar with a DJ... don't want to break the bank though

Does croxleys, nutty irishmen do private parties? definitely call them up and see what they can do for you. If not i know the bulldog near massapequa has a private party room, definitely look into that.

I am also throwing a surprise party for DH. ALot of bars gave me problems, well not problems but just didnt like how they wanted to do things. I wanted completely private many places kept suggesting partial privacy. Or one place only does 3 hour packages, which wont work for a surprise party considering dh has to get there later than everybody else so that would only be 2 hours. Only 1 place that had a private room was good about things, and one club has a completely private room and also good about things. Most bars do only a bar guarantee which is good and every place i called the bar guarantee was only $1400-1500 which is good.

In the end i wanted a very private place and didnt want a time limit and freedom to do things i want. SO i wanted to do a suite or penthouse and throw a party there. I went to a place this week that has a penthouse and i really wanted, looked amazing but when i went the place was so small, i couldnt believe it. So now i think im just gonna go back to the original hotel i want that has a huge suite which is 2200 sq feet, just book it and not tell them i want to throw a party lol, screw that. I am also going to look into renting casino tables, and hiring maybe a belly dancer or burlesque dancer. Not sure if you'd be interested in doing something like this.
