photo/video- using 2 different vendors...
I was just wondering if anyone enocountered any problems with using different vendors for photography and video. We are thinking of doing this, but wondering if we should stick with Spelman for both services... Thanks, Michelle

I am using two different vendors as well. I don't see it as a problem at all.

Re: photo/video- using 2 different vendors...
I am using separate vendors. I don't forsee any problems. Each vendor, who are both professionals are doing two separate jobs.Is there any reason you are worried? IMO, the reason people feel doubtful is because the vendor from either Video or Photography is trying to get the sale and make more money off of you.
Remember always go with you gut instinct. Also, do a search on the boards for both of your vendors. You will feel a whole lot better. Good luck.

Re: photo/video- using 2 different vendors...
I am using the same company (Imagine) for both, because I really loved both thier photos and video and they are a hsband/wife team so they work great together.I haven't heard of anyone having problems with 2 sepaeate vendors though. So don't feel like you 'should' hire them for both. If you don't love their video, I would shop around for a separate company.

We used a photographer and videographer from different companies and there were no problems whatsoever. They are paid professionals and this is what they do!

I have not decided to book anyone yet.But i will tell you the people i have seen for photo do video also but found out alot of them dont do the video themselves. They farm it out to a video company. So i would agree with jennbaby go with two seperate companys.

I am using two different vendors. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can ask if the two vendors have worked together before. It shouldn't be a problem though.

you can go either way...but if you go with a video from the photographer...make sure that its not just anyone standing behind the camera...I felt more comfortable using seperate companies...b/c I wanted a certain video that my photographer couldn't give me

I am also using two seperate vendors for photo & video. A friend of my bothers is a videographer, and I got a great deal! He does magnificent work! At my brothers wedding he wasn't even the videographer, he just brought his camera for the heck of it, and his video was better than the one they paid for! So it really depends on their work!

If you booked the photographer - you could ask for a referral for a videographer. I did that and they recommended a company they work well together and have the same theory in approaching capturing our big day.Welcome New Vendors
