Re: Small brides!!

Hey... I'm about the same heigh/weight as you and I ended up with a HUGE ballgown!!!! I got it at Lillette's, they are awesome in there! I knew I definitely wanted strapless b/c I like the way it looks on me. I tried on A-lines, ballgowns, etc... and just fell totally in love w/ my huge ballgown strapless Eve of Milady dress! When else can I wear a princess dress like that?!

Re: Small brides!!

i think it really depends on your actual body and the dress... i tried on some ballgowns that looked like the dress was wearing me!! just try on a little of everything until you start to find the style that flatters you... i ended up finding out that that assymetrical waist is what flattered me the most...

Re: Small brides!!

you can wear tule, bc you are thin and it will look stunning. i have a little more wieght than you and withthe tule i felt so large. go with strapless, and you will look beautiful, if you want a little puff, go for it, being tiny there is nothing wrong with it. you can probobly look good in everything. update me ok.

Re: Small brides!!

There are a bunch of gowns now that are a cross between an A-line and a ball gown. Try those!

I'm a wee little person like you and those didn't overwhelm my frame or seem to bridesmaidy.

Re: Small brides!!

I'm 5'4' and weigh about 110lbs, so I know how you feel about not wanting to get lost. My dress is a Demetrios Couture. It's a halter top with an A-line bottom. There's enough tulle so I don't need a slip. I ordered a size 8, so you could prob get away with a 4/6. HTH!!

this helps!! my problem is, when they ordered my bm dress for my sisters wedding, they had to order a size 4 and cut it 4 sizes.....it looked fine and you def couldn't tell that it was altered so much.

Re: Small brides!!

blah blah blah help me i'm a skinny wen....

oh sorry Sarah, i was having a moment.

I'm 5'2', but 'curvy' - will not be going strapless (too uncomfy for the girls). Also extremely short-waisted, so i need a long line bodice to make me LOOK less midget-like.

ughhhh i hate dresses.

I'm the exact same...5'2' and very curvy...staying the heck away from strapless and anything too poofy - don't want to get lost in it.

i was waiting for someone to start with me!! glad its you!! no worries!!

i'm not short waisted, i have a long torso so i need something high in the boob area, that make sense. i am basically curve-less so i need something that will make me look like i have curves
