Stupid Question: Do you wear your engagement ring during ceremony?

After you get the wedding bands, you wear the wedding band under the engagement ring.

At the ceremony, should your hand be bare or does your fiance place the band on top of your engagement ring?

I usually see people with the eng. ring on the right hand for the ceremony. They usually switch it back for the reception and pictures

i wore mine on my right hand and then switched it over after the ceremony.

That's what I plan to do... but as soon as we exchange rings (or after we walk down the aisle), I plan to move my e-ring back over to my left hand.

No way - your questions aren't silly. There are so many questions you've asked where I thought, 'Hey I have no idea eithere!... and I hadn't even THOUGHT of it!'

Every question you ask I want to know the answer to too!!! I am leaving it on my left ring finger and then he will take it off place it on my left middle finger for a second, then put my wedding band on then put my engagement ring back on. It will be awkward but I think that will be cute!

I think I might do the same thing - I haven't decided yet - I have to see if I'm going to wear another ring on my right hand first!

LOL I was just thinking about that and I tried it on myself, I dropped my e-ring on my desk. I think that's a good indication that I should just wear it on my right hand for the ceremony!

I wore mine on my right hand. After the rice was thrown, I put them on the right way so it would be right for the pics.

Here is Q, i forgot what goes first your wedding band then your engagement ring or your engagement then wedding band? I got both rings but can't remember how it goes and no one i know has two bands.

I will do this, but I will only wear it on my right hand for the ceremony and then after the Church I will put it back on my left hand with the wedding band.

I'm just going to switch my e-ring to my right hand before I walk down the aisle. Then after we exchange rings I will move my e-ring back.

Definitely not a silly question. I hope to be able to get mine over my knukle on my right hand. If not I will ask my mom or MOH to hold it and put it on right after.
