Re: What are you doing with your dress?

Mine is at the cleaners to be preserved. It's actually ready and I have to pick it up.

I might try to sell it, but I doubt it will sell so if I can't after a few months, I'll donate it.

I had mine preserved. The thought of selling it has crossed my mind a few times. I just dont think it will be worth the effort.

Re: What are you doing with your dress?

Mine is still hanging in my closet, not cleaned yet.
Since I won't have children, I don't know if I want to have it preserved.
My sister's dress is hanging in my closet too, since 1994.
I might have my niece's communion dress made out of my sister's dress.

Re: What are you doing with your dress?

After talking about it with my mom, I have decided to donate it. She bought me the dress and I wanted to clear it with her first.

I chose 'Other' because it's probably going to hang in its garment bag in my closet forever!

Re: What are you doing with your dress?

I am definitely keeping it!! I just remember being around 12 years old when me and my sister were trying on my mothers old wedding gown and taking pictures in it. What fun times. I would love to have that with MY future daughters (God willing that i have GIRLS!!)

I'm also the type of girl who will definitely put it on again just for fun. lol. So I definitely cannot part with it. Too many sentimental memories with that gown. I'd be heart broken to part from it.
