and on the downside- crappy video- help

In re our super 80's wedding video...

So far DH called and they said to bring the videos back. Then we have to send an email to some dude who will forward it onto the video ppl cuz we cant speak with them directly and then I just stopped listening because it sounds so fuking ridiculous...

Has anyone complained about their video? What was your process?

Hey Cate - did Duet do your video? We don't love ours either, it was definitely not shot with an HD camera and it is really not much better than what I imagine a guest at our wedding could have recorded. We didn't know what to do, if anything, and are probably just going to get the raw footage and deal with it.

We went with them for their photos, not neccessarilly their videos, but we did see a video at the studio that was A LOT different than the product we got. Not sure what to do.

ETA: it cuts out during our vows!!! And it isn't the disk, it's the microphone, so it can't be remedied.

They specifically told us it was going to be shot with hd and its not. The mic is all messed up during the vows , all u can see is ppls hands holding cameras while im walking down the aisle with me behind. Dh and I are.so bummed. We r dropping the video off and we have.to send an email tonight.

wow Im so sorry. Thats so fukked up, Id be furious. Fkn idiots. The most important part and the mic cuts out. Thats ridiculous.

I haven't seen my wedding video yet.. but if this were to happen to me.. I'd make them pay for another wedding so they can re-film it. That is UNFORGIVABLE!!! And the fact that they get so much advertisement on this site, is crazy! (I didn't go with Duet, I'm just saying). I'm sorry you girls are going thru this.. but if I were you, I'd check my contract to see what it says regarding what kind of cameras they will be using, and then I would take them to court! A wedding doesn't happen once a year.. and as a professional company, they have to take responsibility for their actions!!!

See, we didn't really ask too much about the video, specifics or anything, so I don't think we have a leg to stand on. Also, I'm not sure what they could do. What did they tell you Cate? We can FM if its easier! I'm just not sure what to say - we already gave our parents their copies and we are kind of whatever about it.
